Worth Leaving For This Weekend: Halloween Parties, Fall Festivals & Live Music in Southwest Florida | October 30–November 1, 2026

HALLOWEEN WEEKEND IS HERE. YOUR COUCH HAS BEEN WARNED. 🎃
Southwest Florida, we've officially reached the one weekend of the year when dressing like a complete lunatic in public is not only acceptable, it's encouraged.
And I'm here for it.
Whether you're looking for somewhere to take the kids, a free fall festival, live music by the water, or an excuse to put on a costume and stay out past midnight, we've got options.
And no, you don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy them.
I've rounded up nine events worth leaving the house for around Estero, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, and Naples.
Some are family-friendly. Some are definitely more appropriate for the adults. And several won't cost you a dime to attend.
Let's get into it.
Halloween Weekend Events Worth Leaving For
1. Trick or Treat on Old 41 — Bonita Springs
Saturday, October 31 | 5–8 PM
Downtown Bonita Springs | FREE
Downtown Bonita Springs is turning Old 41 into a Halloween celebration.
The Bonita Springs Downtown Alliance is hosting Trick or Treat on Old 41, with participating downtown businesses handing out candy.
The city's Happy Haunts Halloween experience adds illuminated decorations, spooky music, animated building projections, and plenty of Halloween photo opportunities.
And unlike a ticketed haunted attraction, you can enjoy the downtown atmosphere without paying admission.
Know before you go: Old 41 is scheduled to close to vehicle traffic between Wilson Street and Dean Street from 4–9 PM.
Happy Haunts runs from 5:30–10 PM on Halloween night, so there's time to enjoy the lights and decorations after trick-or-treating ends.
Why it's worth leaving for: A free Halloween outing that also supports local downtown businesses.
2. Bower Boo Bash at FGCU — Estero
Saturday, October 31 | 1–4 PM
FGCU Arts Complex and Music Building | FREE, tickets required
If you want something a little different from the usual shopping-center trick-or-treat event, FGCU has a good one.
Florida Gulf Coast University's Bower School of Music & the Arts is hosting Bower Boo Bash, an afternoon Halloween celebration featuring trick-or-treating, gallery storytelling, interactive activities, and performances.
The festivities wrap up with a Halloween-themed Vocal Area Concert beginning at 3 PM in U. Tobe Recital Hall.
And no, you don't have to be an FGCU student to attend.
Know before you go: The event is free, but FGCU requests advance reservations for free tickets. Check campus parking instructions before arriving.
Why it's worth leaving for: A creative, family-friendly Halloween event right here in Estero.
3. Edison & Ford Winter Estates Fall Festival — Fort Myers
Saturday, October 31 | 9 AM–4 PM
2350 McGregor Boulevard, Fort Myers | FREE festival admission
Florida might not give us sweater weather, but at least we can pretend it's fall for a few hours.
The Edison & Ford Winter Estates Fall Festival brings artisan vendors, seasonal activities, food, music, and family-friendly entertainment to one of Fort Myers' most recognizable historic properties.
Expect opportunities to shop from local vendors, enjoy seasonal treats, and explore the festival atmosphere.
Some activities include pumpkin picking and the chance to climb the property's famous banyan tree.
And here's the good part.
Admission to the festival is free.
Food, merchandise, select activities, and regular estate tours may cost extra.
Why it's worth leaving for: A fall festival with a little history, a little shopping, and no admission charge just to show up.
4. Halloween at Margaritaville — Fort Myers Beach
Saturday, October 31 | Activities beginning at 1 PM
Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach | Check activity and access requirements
If your Halloween plans involve ocean breezes instead of haunted houses, Margaritaville has you covered.
The resort has a full Halloween schedule planned, including daytime activities, pumpkin decorating, costume contests, face painting, games, and live entertainment.
The evening shifts into a more grown-up celebration, with Rock Candy scheduled to perform from 7–10 PM.
There's also an evening costume contest with prizes.
Know before you go: The resort has published its Halloween activity schedule, but not every activity is confirmed as free for non-resort guests. Check public access, parking, and any applicable charges before heading over.
Why it's worth leaving for: Halloween festivities with a Fort Myers Beach atmosphere instead of another traditional haunted attraction.
5. Bayside Veterans Park Concert — Fort Myers Beach
Sunday, November 1 | 4–7 PM
Bayside Veterans Park, Old San Carlos Boulevard & First Street | FREE
After a weekend of Halloween festivities, Sunday might call for something a little more relaxed.
And a waterfront concert sounds pretty good to me.
The Town of Fort Myers Beach has scheduled Limited Edition to perform at Bayside Veterans Park from 4–7 PM.
The park overlooks Matanzas Harbor, making it a great setting for an afternoon of live music.
Bring a chair, enjoy the atmosphere, and consider grabbing dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.
Know before you go: The concert is free, although parking and food purchases may cost extra. Outdoor performances are weather-dependent.
Why it's worth leaving for: A free waterfront concert to close out the weekend.
Halloween After Dark: Adults' Night Out 🍸
Because Halloween isn't just for kids collecting candy.
If your idea of celebrating involves costumes, cocktails, DJs, and dancing instead of another bag of miniature candy bars, this section is for you.
Here are four Halloween night options for the grown-ups.
6. The Official Halloween Bar Crawl — Downtown Fort Myers
Saturday, October 31 | 5 PM–2 AM | 21+
Downtown Fort Myers | Ticket required
If you're planning to go all out for Halloween, downtown Fort Myers is offering a full evening of bar-hopping.
The Official Halloween Bar Crawl features participating bars, drink specials, a costume competition, and a late-night party atmosphere.
Check-in is scheduled from 5–7 PM at The Hideaway.
Ticket prices vary depending on when you purchase, so check current availability before making plans.
Why it's worth leaving for: A full Halloween night out with multiple stops rather than spending the entire evening in one place.
7. Beats From Beyond at Waxin's — Naples
Saturday, October 31 | 9 PM–1 AM | Advertised as 21+
Waxin's Restaurant & Bar, Mercato, Naples | Admission pricing to be confirmed
If Halloween means dressing up and dancing with friends, Waxin's at Mercato is hosting Beats From Beyond.
The party features DJs, Halloween costumes, dancing, and optional VIP bottle service.
And since it's located at Mercato, you've got nearby restaurants and nightlife options if you want to make an entire evening of it.
Know before you go: The event is advertised for ages 21 and older. Check the ticket listing for current pricing and availability.
Why it's worth leaving for: A Halloween night out with music, cocktails, and a lively Naples atmosphere.
8. Halloween Monster Mash at Riptide Brewing — Bonita Springs
Saturday, October 31 | 7–10 PM | FREE admission
Riptide Brewing Company, Bonita Springs
Want Halloween fun without paying a cover charge?
Riptide Brewing is hosting its Halloween Monster Mash, featuring DJ Peak Flow, a costume contest, horror movies, and seasonal food and drink specials.
The brewery is also advertising select $3 beers.
Costumes are encouraged, and there's no general admission charge listed.
Know before you go: This is an adult-oriented brewery event, but it has not been advertised as exclusively 21+. Confirm age restrictions directly with the venue if that matters for your plans.
Why it's worth leaving for: A free Halloween party close to Estero and Bonita Springs with music, costumes, and a more casual atmosphere.
9. Halloween Bash at Bay Street Yard — Fort Myers
Saturday, October 31 | 5:30 PM–1:30 AM | FREE general admission
Bay Street Yard, Downtown Fort Myers
Downtown Fort Myers is bringing the Halloween energy.
Bay Street Yard's Halloween Bash includes live entertainment, DJs, Halloween cocktails, and a costume contest.
The announced lineup includes:
5:30–8:30 PM: DJ Julz
9:30 PM–1:30 AM: Ian Kelley
There are also costume contest prizes, so if you've been working on a ridiculous costume for weeks, this might be your moment.
Know before you go: Bay Street Yard generally has a 21+ policy after 9 PM. Confirm Halloween-night entry requirements with the venue.
Why it's worth leaving for: Free admission, downtown nightlife, and a Halloween party without committing to an organized bar crawl.
Stephanie's Weekend Picks
Nine events. Multiple cities. And plenty of reasons to get out of the house.
But if you're asking where I'd start, here's my shortlist.
Best family-friendly Halloween event: Trick or Treat on Old 41 in Bonita Springs.
Best Estero event: Bower Boo Bash at FGCU.
Best free fall outing: Edison & Ford Winter Estates Fall Festival.
Best Halloween nightlife: The Official Halloween Bar Crawl in downtown Fort Myers.
Best free adults' party near Estero: Riptide Brewing's Monster Mash.
Best Sunday afternoon: Live music at Bayside Veterans Park.
And if you're trying to keep your weekend spending under control, there are several free options to choose from.
Because having a good time in Southwest Florida shouldn't require taking out a second mortgage.
A Few Things to Know Before Heading Out
Halloween weekend is one of those times when a little planning goes a long way.
Downtown events may involve road closures and limited parking.
Free events can still require advance tickets or registration.
Some Halloween parties are restricted to guests ages 21 and older, while others are simply geared toward adults.
And outdoor events can change because of weather.
Check the organizer's event page before leaving, particularly if you're traveling between cities or purchasing tickets.
If you're planning a night involving alcohol, arrange a designated driver or rideshare.
Your Halloween costume might be questionable.
Your ride home shouldn't be.

There's More to Southwest Florida Than Beaches and Real Estate
One of the things I love about living in Southwest Florida is discovering the events, local businesses, and experiences that make our communities interesting.
From Halloween parties to waterfront concerts and everything in between, there's always something happening if you know where to look.
That's why I share my Worth Leaving For picks every Thursday.
Because where you live matters.
But how you live matters just as much.
